Spelers worden in de game verdeeld tussen The Chosen en The Fallen. De Tower of Eternity is een belangrijke plaats in de fantasierijke wereld en vormt een doorgang door de Abyss. Het is een portaal tussen dimensies. Wanneer een groot kwaad echter de doorgang opent, wekken zijn hierbij tevens de Draken, welke vastzaten in de Abyss. Deze monsterlijke wezens zoeken vervolgens hun wraak op beide werelden.

Wat zich vervolgens ontvouwt, is een wereld waarin spelers proberen zaken op orde te stellen, zich ondertussen vergapend aan de wonderlijke schoonheid van de omgeving waarin zij hun avontuur beleven. Achtergronden en effecten, alles is indrukwekkend, maar most impressive of all is wel de manier waarop het spel zich ontwikkelt. Alle acties en interacties van de spelers op een server, hebben invloed op hoe het spel verloopt mbt verhaallijnen, economie en allianties.
